Connecting with The MLC is free and easy!

If you’re a songwriter, composer, or lyricist, or someone who works for a company that manages musical works (songs) by handling publishing rights, work registrations, and royalties, The MLC wants to connect with you!

Step 1: Sign Up as a User for The MLC Portal

During this first step, we’ll ask you to share some personal information with us so we can verify your identity. Once we’ve completed the verification process, we’ll ask you to set up a username and password. You’ll use these credentials to log in to The MLC Portal.

Step 2: Tell Us About You

The next step is to answer a series of questions about the role you play with respect to songs so we can set you up with access to the right Hub.

The Member Hub: If you are entitled to collect U.S. digital audio mechanical royalties from The MLC, you will be given access to our Member Hub, where you can Connect to Collect^®, which means create a Member profile, access our Member tools, and access your royalty statements.

The Songwriter Hub: If you are a songwriter, composer, or lyricist, and someone else collects your U.S. digital audio mechanical royalties on your behalf (such as a music publisher or publishing administrator), you will be given access to our Songwriter Hub, where you can organize and export your catalog and submit corrections to help ensure we have accurate information about your songs.
