Josh Gruss

Josh Gruss is the Chairman, CEO and founder of Round Hill Music. Founded in 2010 Round Hill has grown to become one of the largest independent music publishing companies in the world with over $1.3 billion of assets and over 70 employees.

Prior to founding Round Hill, from 2002 to 2009, Josh worked at Gruss Asset Management, a London and New York based hedge fund focused on event driven investing with US$2 billion assets under management, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as a Partner and member of the investment and executive committees. Concurrently, from 2003 to 2011, he was also a Vice President at Gruss & Co., Inc., where he was a member of the investment and executive committees. From 1999 to 2001, Josh worked in investment banking at Bear Stearns & Co. From 1997 to 1999, he worked at Warner Music Group as an Assistant Director in product development.

Josh graduated with a B.A. from Trinity College and earned an M.B.A. from both Columbia University and London Business School. Josh is also a Trustee and Alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston. Josh is a trained guitarist, having recorded and performed with several groups. He is also a BMI songwriter and has written two Billboard Top 40 rock songs.

Josh also served six years in the United States Coast Guard and is a veteran of the war with Iraq.
